Lifelong Learning

Temple Beth El offers education sessions for adults and religious school for children on weekends that the student rabbi is in town.

Adult Education

Learning is a lifelong journey. No matter your place within the Jewish life cycle, Temple Beth El can help you deepen your Jewish identity and awaken your senses to the beauty of our tradition.

Education is one of the cornerstones of our religion and our adult education program reflects a commitment to lifelong learning. Our adult education classes promote the continuation of Jewish learning and the development of a personal belief system based on Torah and contemporary experiences.

Topics vary from the lessons we learn from Torah to problems and concerns we have as Jews in today’s world. Our adult classes are designed to encourage lively discussion on topics of interest and concern to Jews and our community.

Religious School

At Temple Beth El, our religious school helps build a positive Jewish identity in every child. We want our children to feel comfortable and proud to say “I am a Jew.

The Religious school provides instruction in Jewish History, Culture, Customs, Ethics, Tradition, Holidays, Israel, Bible, and the Holocaust. Our instructors teach the children to actively celebrate their Judaism so that it becomes an integral part of their lives. We strive to give our children a true sense of community as they learn about being Jewish and what links us with people of all faiths, races and cultures.

Our Goals

  • Provide a nurturing environment that is warm and welcoming
  • Provide the best possible instruction
  • Encourage Tikkun Olam (Repairing the World) not just in our community but in the nation and the world
  • Foster an appreciation for the future of Jewish people
  • Instill confidence and enjoyment in participating in religious services
  • Affirm the importance of Israel to the Jewish people

Through the study of Torah, Hebrew, and Jewish writings our students will embrace a life long commitment to God, Israel and the Jewish people.
